1234 The County of Sacramento, Department of Human Assistance (DHA), is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from interested nonprofit community agencies to become the designated sponsor (administrator) of the Mather Community Campus (MCC) program/facilities, under guidelines set by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. The sponsor will provide transitional housing, job training and employment/social services for up to 60 homeless families and 200 single persons utilizing and maintaining 13 buildings on 20 acres of the former Mather Air Force Base. There is an approximate $4.2 million budget from various funding sources and resident fees. Applicants must attend the mandatory applicants conference on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Mather Community Campus cafeteria, 3587 Bleckley St., Mather, CA 95655. Applications will only be accepted from those entities with representatives attending the mandatory applicants conference. The deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. RFQ packets will be available on Thursday, January 28, 2010 after 3:00 p.m. by contacting Carolyn Martinez, DHA Contract Analyst at (916) 875-3696 or email address martinezca@saccounty.net. Packets will also be available at the applicants conference and online at http://www.saccountybids.net.
